Aloha! It's the Surf Chronic surf report for Sunday, October fourth, 6 AM! Sponsored by the Surf Chronic Podcast, join the Ohana and subscribe on Apple Podcasts for daily surf news and swell reports. Into the surf we go!

No marine warnings today. Sunrise at 6:24 AM and sunset at 6:17 PM. The tide is 0.6 feet now and rising, heading for a high tide of 2.2 feet at 11:34 AM. North Shore wind is 13 miles per hour cross-shore. South Shore wind is 15 miles per hour offshore.

Wave heights are from the front face of the waves. North Shore spots like Sunset Beach, Pipeline, Haleiwa, and Laniakea are riding 1 to 3 feet from a North North East wind swell. Over on the South Shore, Ala Moana Bowls, Waikiki, and Kewalos are delivering 2 to 4 feet from a South swell.

Your best bet right now is Ala Moana Bowls.

South facing shores remain below average today; a new small, long-period south swell arrives tonight, peaking Tuesday into Wednesday. North facing shores are tiny today, before a small North West swell peaks Monday, followed by a larger long-period North West swell peaking Wednesday.

Yeah you! See you in the water and surf aloha.

Surf along south-facing shores will remain below average today. A new small, long-period south swell will slowly fill in tonight and Monday, with a peak slightly above average Tuesday into Wednesday. Near or slightly below average surf will hold through the rest of the week be maintained by a mix of new, small south swells.

A small, medium-period northwest swell will arrive tonight and peak Monday, producing a small bump in surf through Tuesday. Surf will continue to trend up for north shores as a slightly larger long-period northwest swell peaks Wednesday. Surf may approach moderate levels late in the week as a medium-period northwest swell further increases. Surf along east facing shores will be choppy through Monday due to trades.

A small, long-period west swell originating from Typhoon Choi-wan is forecast to reach the islands Thursday into the weekend, which may produce moderate surf for west-facing shores of the Big Island.
